Walthall County teachers had fun learning at an intensive 5 day training focused on multi-sensory explicit phonics instruction provided by Brainspring PhonicsFIRST master instructor Cheryl Garner, NBCT. While working on strategies to teach “bossy r”

they created monstERs on which they posted “ bossy r” words.

Two teachers presented at the 2022 Making Connections Conference this summer in Biloxi, Mississippi.  Demara Mark and Charity Robinson presented on the topic "Debunking Myths of Mathematics".    They both did an excellent job representing Walthall County.
